The Security Service contains some functions that provide support to other law-enforcement agencies. We provide expert advice on issues relating to technical protection measures and weapons storage. In this capacity we also participate in major technical operations targeting serious crime.
Our support activities also include a Bomb Data Centre, which collects and supplies information on bomb related incidents in Sweden and abroad. We provide the technical equipment for secret wire-tapping and secret tele-surveillance, and operate a colour photo lab which assists the police authorities with all forms of media processing.
